Best Rescue Ever!

This is me few years ago with the best dog ever, the one and only Ella!
If you want are looking for a dog that is friendly, quiet, good with children and cats, and will be your best friend? Go to the Westside German Shepherd of Los Angeles! This rescue goes into pounds and jail breaks all of the best breed ever, German Shepherds! German Shepherds are the best breed for anyone. They are smart, loyal, and so much more! They don't only have German Shepherds, there are shepherd mixs, Shi tzus, Bichons, Yorkies, and a lot of other dogs that would have been killed in shelter long ago. They go into pounds and take the dogs that are on their last day or very close. They also have a pair of cats named Johnny and Togo. My family has had 3 german shepherds so far and they have all been amazing! ABove is me a few years ago with Ella who came from there and is the BEST dog ever!

What is Really Happening

In farms, chickens and pigs barely ever see the sunlight.

Chick being de-beaked so they won't hurt the other chickens
 or damage their cages

Pregnant Pigs are kept in tiny cages like this

Chicks are packed in crates, and handled cruelly. They are dumped in warehouses like this filled with dead chickens that had died before.

This, if you can believe it, is a nice farm. The cows get to see the sky and be outdoors unlike other farms
Here are some pictures of what is really going on behind the closed doors of the food industry.

Real and Not Real

When we think of a farm, we think of happy pigs rolling in mud and cows that have endless fields of green grass to graze on. Really, chickens are are kept in a dark, crowded room and plumped with hormones to make them fatter. Cows are cut open so workers can take the parts of a cow that let it eat grass because corn is cheaper. Pigs are kept in crowded rooms where they can't turn around. Pregnant pigs are kept in small cages and if piglets are born prematurely, they are placed in cages so small, they fall through the manure slats. Once, a smithfield employee shot a pig in the head, and threw it into a dumpster because it was lame. Smithfield is one of the most cruel companies out there. One smithfield pig had a basketball sized abscess under her neck. The company refused to treat properly. They cut it off with an unsterilized razor. All animals are slaughtered cruelly. One way to help is to buy cage-free chicken eggs and check out some of the links below for more ideas.
